Updates to Google's Business Profile Verification Process
Updates to Google's Business Profile Verification Process

Google Business Profile verification must now be initiated by an official representative of the organization. See this guide for details.

Updated over a year ago

New Verification Process

To ensure authenticity and accuracy, Google has recently updated their profile verification process. As a result, someone from your organization will now need to initiate the verification process. We apologize for any inconvenience, as we are no longer able to assist with verification. But rest assured, we are always here to support and guide you in any way we can.

Ensuring Secure Access to Your Business Profile

To streamline the verification process in the future, we recommend setting up ONE Google account to manage all of your listings. This can be a personal Gmail address, or if the company email is set up through Google Workspace, you can use a company email address.

NOTE: If you decide to use a personal Gmail account, we highly recommend using an account that the the business owner or trusted representative has access to (Password resets should go only to the owner or trusted representative).

How to Gain Access

If your business profile is managed by a third party, read How to Request Ownership of a Business Profile

If your business profile is managed by New Urban Media, contact our support team with the email address for the Google account you decide to use so we can invite that account to become an owner of all the listings. We will notify you once the invitation(s) have beens sent.

Finding Your Invitation

If the invitation does not appear in your inbox, it may have been filtered out. Try searching for one of the following phrases:

1 - [email protected]
2- You have received an invitation
3 - Business Profile
